Entrepreneurship and enterprise are widely thought to be major drivers for economic growth, job creation and wider community development—three things that are essential for communities to flourish.
Young people need to be prepared for a world that is changing rapidly. Many of the jobs they will do when they leave school or college do not yet exist and they will probably have several jobs during their lifetime. To thrive, they need the skills and attitudes to cope with an unpredictable future and embrace setbacks and disappointments positively.
More than ever, young people need a “can do” attitude, resilience, the ability to change direction quickly and a commitment to lifelong learning.
