The Be All You Can Be Award supports young people to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and learn the practical knowledge needed to start a small business.
The full Award consists of three interactive units and is signposted at SCQF Level 5. Each unit has a learner Activity Workbook, 12 workshops, a Facilitator Resource Pack, lesson plans and assessment materials.
Unit 1 – Developing Entrepreneurial Skills
Mindset, self-assessment, risks and rewards, comfort zones, confidence, goal setting, creativity, role models and staying on track.
Unit 2 – Starting a Business
Market analysis, branding, digital media, support organisations, networking, finance, business types, record keeping, business planning, pitching and presenting.
Unit 3 – The Change Challenge
A group project in which young people use the skills gained in Units 1 and 2 to take an idea from conception through the stages required to establish a small business with a positive local impact.
